TAKING ACTION
IT'S EASY TO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT A PROBLEM, BUT THAT ALONE DOES NOT LEAD TO CHANGE.
WE WANT TO HELP FACILITATE CHANGE AND PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR THOSE ALREADY DOING AMAZING WORK.
SPORTS GEAR REVIVED
Sports Gear Revived collects and redistributes unwanted sports clothing and equipment to schools and groups within lower-socioeconomic and higher-deprivation communities in New Zealand. We enable more to participate in sports, thereby enjoying the associated health and social benefits, immersing in nature, and creating better environmental awareness.
The added outcome is giving sports gear a new lease of life rather than sending them to landfill.
PLAN(E)T CUISINE
High meat consumption has been associated with poor health and meat production has substantially contributed to climate change, environmental degradation and social injustices. The Plant(e)t Cuisine campaign not only encourages a plant-centred diet but also provides guidance on adopting and thriving on a well-balanced plant-based diet.

A healthy plant-based diet is associated with a myriad of health benefits. Diet can be a powerful tool for not only treating chronic illness but for reducing our impact on the planet.

PLANT BASED TREATY
As a companion to the UNFCCC/Paris Agreement, the Plant Based Treaty is a landmark international treaty and the first of its kind to put food systems at the heart of combating the climate crisis. The Treaty aims to halt the widespread degradation of critical ecosystems caused by animal agriculture, to promote a shift to more healthy, sustainable plant-based diets and to actively reverse the damage done to planetary functions, ecosystem services and biodiversity.
Personal and planetary health are inextricably linked and the food we eat is a common denominator. A healthy plant-based diet is associated with a myriad of health benefits whilst also reducing our impact on the planet. The Lentil Intervention is proud to endorse the Plant Based Treaty as a journey toward hope and action for a more resilient community.
