The Lentil Intervention is an Australian and New Zealand educational and advocacy platform, and a registered New Zealand charity, disseminating all aspects of planetary health.
At the core of The Lentil Intervention lies a multifaceted approach. Through our podcast, we disseminate knowledge and spark dialogue; Athletes For Nature and Sports Gear Revived serve as the tangible manifestations of our commitment to action
The climate and health crises are the two most pressing issues of our time.
Change needs to occur, and sooner rather than later. These huge problems can often leave individuals feeling helpless.
But personal changes can have a big impact.
LOCAL ISSUES
While planetary health is a global concern, we primarily focus on issues and guests from our corner of the globe, bringing awareness to our most pressing and relevant challenges.
ETHICAL
We promote ethical living and seek to achieve a more just and sustainable world through cruelty-free and exploitation-free lifestyle choices.
EDUCATIONAL
We strive to be a reliable and evidence-based source of information and provide a platform for groups and individuals of similar alignment to help catalyse change.
OUR PLANET IS INFINITELY BEAUTIFUL BUT HAS FINITE RESOURCES
Without a healthy and stable planet, there are no healthy humans, and our planet is in trouble. The scientific literature is clear with more than 11,000 scientist signatories from 153 countries clearly stating the earth is facing a climate emergency (Ripple et al, 2020).

BEHAVIOUR CHANGES HEAL BOTH PEOPLE AND THE PLANET
Chronic diseases are the leading cause of death and disability in both Australia and New Zealand, but by using our forks, fingers and feet wisely, we can all work on changing these sobering statistics.
Our content will always be free because we believe in the importance of sharing this information.
If our work is of value to you, however, please consider 'buying us a coffee'.
This will help us cover our ongoing administrative costs, produce more resources and deliver on important projects.
Our Vision: By adopting climate-friendly and healthy lifestyle practices we can all work together to create healthy, resilient communities and a planet that will sustain us both now and for generations to come.
